OK WIX, I see the most random questions ever answered here...so I finally have some:

I'm looking to find the btu rating of a radiator for a D model and later P-51 Mustang (If they are different by models). They are set up to have two sections, and divided into a 2/3 vs 1/3 configuration from the factory. Has anybody got this information in a manual or some other source?

For that matter, does anybody know shops that do recores or maybe custom recores for them?

Do a search Pete Law and P-51 Reno Racers. Might get you something.
Ratio wasn't exactly the 2/3 to 1/3. There are a few different manufactures of the Radiators used, Harrison, United and today Martin makes them.

I actually had just finished reading a report he had written some years ago that includes info on a number of Racers. It gives data on how many btu's are needed to cool certain engines, and that lead me to wondering what the stock set-up was rated at. Sometimes things like this are engineered to have a certain amount of headspace or "extra" capacity built into them....was wondering if that were true on this part.
