The DC-2.5

I don't recall if we had a thread on this before but I'm re-reading Bob Buck's "North Star Over My Shoulder" and was reminded of this incident due to all of his DC-2 & DC-3 flying at TWA. Fantastic book, by the way.

So if you ever wanted to see if the wing of one would mate with the center section of another, here you go:

The CNAC example is well known among DC-3 fans...but I've also read where the C-38, 39, 40 & 42... were also known as the DC-2 1/2....a USAAC DC-2 with DC-3 tail surfaces.
