It was with great sadness that I learned yesterday of the passing of Ed Bowlin.
It was an honor to perform Crew Chief duties on several occasions when he displayed the former Steve Collins P-51, "Old Boy". As I mentioned in the Women Warbirder's thread, I will forever be grateful for the display Ed, & his wife Connie dedicated to my late father, a former P-51 combat pilot (complete with slow roll on takeoff) at the last air show dad was able to attend before his passing. Ed put on a superb routine that day as always.
The Warbird Community has lost a great contributor, fine pilot, & good man. I offer my sincere condolences to Connie, & all affected by Ed's passing.
Godspeed Ed!

It was very sad to hear this last weekend. Ed and Connie were two great people who shared their love of warbirds with many people. Godspeed Ed.
