Yes, it was a little foggy early that morning as we went out to get the photos.

These shots were taken en route to Sun and Fun back in the mid 80's, Raven Craig Morrison was flying the Raven painted O-1 tucked in pretty close. We got some pretty good shots back and forth on the way down.

Craig was later killed in a T-6 crash.

Not a great image, but I'll toss it in: My uncle, Sgt. Donald Brame, in an L-19 over Oscoda, MI sometime in the mid-fifties:

Unfortunately, thanks to the new rudder, the serial could be any one of five:
50-1678
51-4678
51-12678
55-4678
56-2678

I flew with Craig Morrison at 'Sky Warriors' - we were born on the same day in 1942. Really good guy; while I only knew him for the 3 or so hours the flight took I was upset when I heard of his crash.

Chris, thanks for sharing that photo, the paint appears to be original and not a repaint.

I have a grand total of 4.8 hours logged in the 0-1,and loved every tenth !!! In 1985 when I was Marine infantry learning the Arctic warfare trade in Norway, we would patrol all night on skis then try to hide in shelter halfs and snow caves by day while Norwegian Bird Dogs would fly overhead looking for us.
