Ninth World War I Drama Coming to The National Museum of the Air Force.The World War I Dawn Patrol Rendezvous will feature vintage reproduction full-scale and 7/8-scale aircraft, such as the Nieuport, SE-5 and Fokker Dr. I triplane. Pilots will perform precision flying in the skies above the museum and compete in a flour-bombing competition, with aircraft launching from and landing on the field behind the museum.

I, and my 1914 roadster, attended in 2003 and had a great time. In addition to the aircraft, period autos are also there.

At that time some one brought a beautiful Fokker D-VII replica...with a correct Mercedes engine. It was almost finished but made the trip in a semi. Anyone have an ID?

It would sure be nice to see someone show up with a Salmson 2A2 or DH-4 replica in USAS markings... I don't think anyone has ever attempted an airworthy replica of the Salmson though, and I can't think of any airworthy DH-4s.

There is one in red/white US MAIL colors at Creve Coeur, Missouri. I believe it's a replica, not that it matters with those aircraft.

And as I said it's a fine event...I'm not sure it's a "Drama"?
