any crashes still in polders & what's left of zuider zee??

the zuider zee was to a wreck chaser is, to what a candy shop is to a mouse!! i remember skadds of wrecks being found their in remarkable condition. i don't hear much from their anymore. mark allen...... any old recovery pics you can post to this thread??

As a kid I remember reading of a relatively intact B-17 found lying there once the Zuyder Zee got drained.
I still can't believe it got scrapped that late, I think it would have been in the 70s by then...

ive looked a few times over the years for pictures myself. I remember reading about it years ago. there was even ww1 stuff there. pics were awesome. would love to see some again.

I don't know if a version of this program ever reached the US, so I thought I'd post a YouTube link to it. It's a BBC documentary from 1981 detailing some of the work of Gerri Zwanenburg and the Dutch AF, which was much repeated on TV over here in the UK. The audio and visual quality aren't the best, but it's still worth watching. The program starts three minutes into the clip.
