New CAF Wing (Buffalo Heritage Squadron)

Thu Sep 18, 2014 11:50 am

Just randomly found this but, as of August of 2014 it looks like the State of New York has it's first CAF Wing located up in the Buffalo area. As opposed to other far flung CAF wings with one or two liaison aircraft, this one surprisingly has an SNJ. Heres to hoping they can grow and acquire some larger birds in the future!

N224X is one of our old CAF Cajun Wing birds, from when I was Maintenance Officer down there in Lafayette LA. Good airplane when we had it!

Must take a drive out to Akron soonly-like.

Glad to see some local aviation action for once. I think that makes two SNJs/ T-6s at that field now.
