This is the place where the majority of the warbird (aircraft that have survived military service) discussions will take place. Specialized forums may be added in the new future

This is for the Main Landing Gear wheel for the C-97. We need to finish installing the tires and need the TO.
This may delay engine startup. (You all want to hear those 4360s going, no?) Help us find this info ASAP!
This is for the Goodrich Main Landing Gear Wheel 3-1136 and 3-956
Thanks!

Have you tried contacting the Minnesota Air National Guard Museum? They have one on display and opertated KC-97s until the early 70s. They may have what you are looking for in their archives:

Newport wont sell it to me b/c we dont have some State Department/ DOD clearance.. Its "current" technology.
I wonder what all the other former C-97 Civvie operators did.
I also asked the guy to just give me the p/n. I dont think he knows how to read the manual properly or he didnt want to bother...
This is a real hangup for us right now.

Kevin, I am sending .PDF files of both manuals (T.O. 4W1-7-1013 and T.O. 4W1-7-1143) to both your and Tim Chopp's emails. Please let me know if you don't receive them. Good luck on the project!

Unless the info Mark got you is what you were needing I have a friend in the 151st ARW who has been able to help with ancient manuals for an F-86L - he might be able to help with the C-97 and especially since it was once a Utah bird

No promises but he might be able to help.
