Glad no one is hurt.

Sorry to see that the Collings P-40B is still having some issues. Hope they can get everything ironed out - we need to see this one on the air show circuit in 2015.

And either the NSB Police or the Media in this situation seem to have the C-54/DC-4 at American Aero confused wth a "DC-6!"

Glad pilot's O.K! Just wondering if that prop is the rare "toothpick" one or another, like from DC-3? Of course, open to be corrected! Again, pilot's care comes first.

Speaking of the prop, from what I can see at least 2 blades are straight, could be a lot worse, best wishes for a speedy return to flight,Pete

That's a shame.Looks like blades are hollow steel which is good for the long nose engine.cant wait to hear the rest of the story.

Very unfortunate, good thing it wasn't worse and the pilot was able to walk away. I am looking forward to seeing this one back in the air.

No word as to why, but Elliot is ok...which is the most important thing.

Must be something with the runway a DC-6 had a nose gear collapse back in August.

Awwww crap! :(

Happy to hear the pilot is ok, and I guess if it's gonna have an issue, might as well be right where they can fix it... but still, that SUCKS.

Be careful out there, people.

From the looks of that gear they have major issues with the wing in the gear box area which would require a tear down all the way to the D section on right wing. The left wing may have faired better but I don't think so.They will need wing fixtures at the very least.

Is it just me or does it seem like gear-related mishaps seem to be the bane of the Warbird movement?
