Stockton Beech C-45J, ID Needed

Sun Dec 21, 2014 8:11 pm

I am going through some of my old photos. I am down to one airframe from 2012 I have yet to identify. It is a Beech at Stockton, California. Here is the photo...

When I zoom in on the markings at the tail and play with the contrast I can read it is a C-45J. This fits with the apparent naval markings on the nose (orange nose). There is a "4" below the model. I don't know if this is part of the BuNo or part of a unit number.

Can anyone help me with the ID of this one?

Mike

Ask Taigh Ramey. It's probably his Beech. That's his field.

I sent him an email a few days ago, but I have not received a reply yet. It may just be the busy silly season. I was hoping for a quick ID though.

We know of someone who will tell you it's Earhart's Lockheed.
If you squint real hard...:)

Hi Mike,

A check of my photo's of that Beech shows that it is BuN. 51144, built as an SNB-2C. It was converted later and she is marked as a UC-45J in your pictures, VT-10 Squadron. D.M. markings show it as IC236.

I spy an A-26 upper cowling and a Dodge WC-53!
