non airworthy no log one on ebay $12k not selling though, if you have logs probably 40k, without..auction it, maybe 5k

More details: The engine in question was military surplus, revived for non-aviation use, and operated regularly in the sixties. Any chance it could be re-certified, and if so, would it be cost-effective to do so? I had seen the one on eBay, a static display model, non-operational. This one is operational.

Depends on what you want to do with it: not much point in getting logbooks up to date if it's a GE-17.
