I thought maybe those WIX members that are looking for a souvenir or are parts collectors may find the lists useable. Thanks for posting all these lists, Woodsy!
Do any of your catalogs mention a C-118 at NAS Glenview around '74-'77?

Chris - I found a reference to a C-118B located at NAS Glenview as going up for sale on 23 Sep 1976. The sale states the aircraft had crashed, the sale did not include engines. The location of aircraft at time of sale was south east of main runway. Sounds like it ran off runway far enough that it didn't bother traffic landing and taking off. I did not get a winning bidders list for that particular sale, but I haven't gotten beyond that in preparing furthur entries...Stayed Tuned. :|

Aha! Thanks for the info. That's BuNo 131610, shot from a distance with my trusty Instamatic:

I got the story on it from the base history and a docent from the museum who was there at the time. In December 1973 it had just landed and was taxiing to the parking area, when someone pulled up the landing gear handle instead of the flap handle and it plopped down on the ramp. It was stripped for parts and dumped at the end of the old east-west runway. The docent also said a scrap company from Florida got the remains, then the Navy realized they forgot to save the flaps and had to buy them back from the scrapper.

Chris - Sounds like a military move - rebuy parts you just sold!! At any rate, it's an interesting situation - I wonder how many times the landing gear handle has been pulled instead of flap handle?. Thanks for pic and info...Leon. :o

From the Col.
P2V-3, SNB-5 South Weymouth both were broken up at the airport and buried in one of the three dumps located on the Field.
