Longshot Scrap Yards With Aircraft Remains - 1991

The following lists are of aircraft that were offered through the DOD Surplus Catelog venue. These military aircraft remains are essentually broken up scrap - not being offered as a possible flyer. I thought maybe those WIX members that are looking for a souvenir or are parts collectors may find the lists useable. I'd guess the rare AT-9 at W-P were leftover parts from the NMUSAF's restoration.
But why scrap them?

Probably because until the improperly demilled (with a bulldozer) one that is at Pima was recovered, there no other examples that might have needed them.
My understanding is that while they are sexy and gorgeous to look at, they were the most foul-tempered evil-minded biotch to fly.
They were, all but one, destroyed to make sure they wouldn't end up out in the GA world
