2.75 In rocket markings

Wed Nov 16, 2005 9:16 am

I though since people were wondering what the 5" HVAR rockets had for stencils. I thought I'd post what the 2.75 had since I have that info handy.

If you restoring a F-86D or F-89 or F-102 for some examples. Here is your rocket.

GB MK 43 MOD 0 GR LOT NO SUN 2057
AMM LOT NO RMHA-260-S-53
MOTOR CODE NO 2".75 701-0200-J
USE ONLY BETWEEN-65o AND = 150o F

Now if Vietnam, for you O-1E and O-2 guys.

2.75 INCH ROCKET MOTOR MK40 MOD 3
LOT BBG-2-227-71

At the end of this rocket would be
LOT NIP-1-242-12-70
At the head
TORQUE HEAD TO
55+10 FT LBS

Hope this helps

True,
A rule we live by today, as the cadets did back then.
