A big thank you to Chuck Wahl ...

Sun Mar 08, 2015 9:51 pm

For those interested take a look at the link and the video ...

This type of thing needs to be acknowledged and recognized by as many as possible.

Not only is Chuck one h*ll of a class act and as thoughtful and generous as they come, but he happens to restore award winning warbirds as well. He's everything that's 'right' about the warbird community and it's a great pleasure to know him. Bravo Chuck and thanks again for what you and the others have done for a fallen hero. Your actions move mountains for many of us who care for our hero's.

... And semper fi to the US Marines. Oooorah!!! Warriors and thanks so much for all you do.

And BTW, there's several others who frequent this website who are also 'my hero's' because of what you do and have done for our veterans. You know who you are and I certainly know who you are. There's too many to list here and all of you are too modest and proud for accolades anyway. So all I can say is thank you all so very much. Our veterans, both past and present, are national treasures IMO. We need to do everything we can to continue to care for and honor them. This website has done a spectacular job of allowing many of us to do just that. Don't ever forget them as we continue our appreciation and enthusiasm for these old airplanes.

That is a class act!! Bravo to those who are recognizing Mr. Holderman.

This burns the stew out of me. The news story didn't mention it but I hope they catch the scumbag perps that beat up Mr. Holderman and killed him.

Guys,
Thanks for the kind words. It's the least I can do, as well as my entire crew here.
Unfortunately they have not caught the individuals. That's all I can comment on at this time. Believe me when I say its a big deal right now in the community!
I would like to extend a special thanks to my Formation team. We have 2 aircraft currently down for annual and they have stepped up to double time to return two of the aircraft to the air this weekend. With that being said on Monday I will lead our flight for a missing man flyover for Mr Holdermans' service.
Mrs Holderman and her entire family has been invited to a private tour of our shop to see the Dauntless. They have already accepted.

Now for the WIX crowd, you saw in the article/TV report my wife and I are sponsoring a bronze plaque that will be permanently displayed with other fallen veterans plaques at the El Dorado County Veterans Monument in Placerville Ca. I am also having a granite stone etched with a Dauntless that will be at the front entrance of the memorial. With that being said I would like to ask for a little WIX'r help here. I would like to find a really good, semi close up, of a Dauntless with the rear gunners hood open and a gunner holding the Twin .30's. Please email me a decent resolution pic and the person who submits the picture I choose to use will get a TShirt from VRA. What TShirt you ask?,... That's the next big surprise here(a really really big deal!).
In the mean time here's a fairly recent pic.... It may not look like it but it's real close!!

Thanks everyone,
Chuck and the entire http://www.VulturesRowAviation.com crew.

Take your pick here. And if there's nothing that works, let me know and I'll find something that does work. God bless the family and all those attending Mr. Holderman's service, those pilots in your formation team and you Chuck, your family and your restoration crew. Thank you all seems so little to offer. Bless Mr. Holderman's memory and may he never be forgotten. A true hero.

Best wishes Chuck to you and your fellow pilots. An honorable service and tribute on a very somber day. God bless Mr. Holderman's family and memory. I'll be thinking about all of you.
