Is there a site that shows the nose art panels of the CAF collection?
I know they was a few years ago, but I can't find it now. Can
someone point me in the right direction?

There will be a dedicated site just for the nose art...wait 'til after Christmas. Museum and website design folks are working on it.

Rob and Owen:
The site will be really special...it will appear with its own URL as "Save the Girls.org" I think (don't hold me to that) and there will be a link to the site from the museum website as well as the CAF site. We had to work around the prevalence of porrnn on the 'Net if you just started searching for "girls" obviously....
Re: the collection. They are all in their own building, temp controlled, etc, and a number of them have been through a lengthy restoration process. The museum folks and their benefactors have done it right.

Bill is correct about the girls... Rob and Owen, thanks for asking... The conservators have been working for several years on the pieces and some of them look absolutely spectacular. They have also tried to research each of the pieces and their respective B-17/B-24 aircraft. However, there are at least two or maybe three pieces that have not been identified and as far as I know, no squadron history books/pics have been found to id the aircraft. The Girls have been given status as a national art treasure and this has really enabled the preservation efforts to move forward. Tammy O'Bannion and crew deserve a big Thank You on this....
