Bob DeFord's Spitfire

Fri Jun 25, 2004 2:51 am

Hi All

First time posting on here, so be gentle with me!

Wasn't sure where I should post this, but as it's Spitfire-related I thought the WIX hangar might be best. If not, please let me know.

Does anyone have any photos of Bob DeFord's full-scale Spitfire IX replica, either ground or airborne? Also, any other photos of replicas would be very much appreciated.

I have a website (see my signature) which I hope will list as many Spitfire replicas as I can find around the world - and I know of at least 30 out there!

Many thanks in advance.

Have you seen the latest issue of Classic Wings ? There is an eight page article on this Spit and several other full scales either flying or under construction.
We have several shots of Bobs' aircraft , so maybe able to supply a couple , will ask the boss ;-)

Hi Dave

Yes I've seen the Classic Wings article (Graham Orphan kindly sent me a copy) and I'm even credited in the acknowledgments :)

Would love to see the pics you have :)
