It didn't cross my mind until someone actually told me it was Palm Sunday late on Sunday night. Thanks for the link. I never realized there was an extended air campaign. I always thought it was just a single day's air combat. Probably one of the more overlooked aerial victories of the war. Cutting the air and sea bridge to North Africa undoubtedly speeded its capitulation.

Read a book about it a few years back that covered the OSS's hand in it.. I compare this mission to the Battle of the Bismarck Sea, ie good intelligence and some lady luck made for a bad time for the Axis powers.
