I'm curious what are the advantages/disadvantages of electric direct drive VS electric inertia drive starters? I'm mainly interested in radial applications but would like to hear any insight anyone might have.

If you have a low battery, a Inertia starter will usually spin up enough to start the engine, most also have the ability to be would up by means of a crank, so no battery is needed, and they sound like a radial engine starter should sound.
