The Thud registry has been updated with all the information I have. If there is any airframe missing please let me know. Thanks.

Here's a 2014 shot of 62-4428 at Croughton:

Also 59-1822 (at Duxford but now gone?) is missing from your list. Does it still exist somewhere?

Any chance to cross-reference them by location?
For example, I was wondering if you had the cockpit section of an F-105 on your list that I saw in someone's backyard near Orlando, Florida in the late 80s (that is, assuming it still exists today), but there's no way I'd know the tail number to look it up.

Went thru Scott's registry and saw he was missing pictures of some of the 105s. I knew I had seen some over the years, so I went thru my cds and albums and came up with these. As you can see, some are quite old-maybe someone has more up to date ones for him to use.

You can send them to Scott for the registry at: submit@warbirdregistry.org

Sent by the NMUSAF to Poland.
Hopefully it's not painted with the Vietnam-era "Polish Glider" nickname/noseart. They may not like the joke.

Why Poland? Why a 105?
I don't believe any 105s were ever based in the UK so its inclusion to the AAM at Duxford was a bit of a mystery,
Considering the Poles were part of the Warsaw Pact and presumably assisted the Soviets in supporting the guys who were killing Thunderchief pilots, I do think this is a bit odd.
But at least it wasn't sent as a peace gesture to Hanoi where it would be used as a propaganda tool.

Well since the AAM doesn't just cover USAFE, it would have been a good addition, alongside other Vietnam-related holdings such as the B-52 etc. Maybe they'll eventually get the Croughton Thud?

Hi Scott,
Here is a current photo of 60-492 at Valiant Air Command Museum in Florida.
Lot's of work done on it since the photos you have on file were taken.
Original art work when in service, in front of and under wing, was saved.
