recently saved warbird part with bonus!

In my ever quest to save cold war aircraft parts I recently found(and bought) a nose cone for sale in my local area. The seller hadn't a clue to what it was but a quick eye told me it was from a Lockheed Neptune wing tip tank. Covers the high powered search light:



To add to my luck my friend Eric from Project warbird happened to have the search light that goes with the dome, to which he sold to me. Nice to complete the set up! What's the chances?

You don't see Lockheed Neptunes with search lights anymore. The early Neptunes had the lights sync'd with the 20mm nose cannons, but they made a nice targets for the enemy.
