I saw that when we stopped by Willow Run a few weeks ago. She really looks great! I assume the nose was left uncovered because it's gonna eventually be replaced by a turret.

Were Privateers built at the Willow Run plant? Or was Willow Run strictly B-24s?

No Privateers were built at Willow Run..I think they were all made in San Diego. Unfortunately, the Privateer is probably the closest the museum will ever get to an actual B-24. I'm not complaining about the PB4Y, mind you..it was a battered pile of junk when they got it, and they've done a magnificent job. :drink3:

Is there a plan to get her indoors? I was told all the turrets will be functional, so alot of effort is going into it, I would hate to see all that effort wasted leaving her outdoors.

Looks great in the correct blue. Looks like it will be a post-war paint scheme then?
