FAS FG-1Ds "Gull Grey" Schemes Line-Up

FAS FG-1D Folks:
Good Day!
Aviation research deep inside the perimeter of things indicates in this Aug 2015 the following line-up: There were poss 5 samples of this unique scheme that arrived fm Litchfield Park, AZ to Ilopango, El Salvador c. May 6. 1957 & c.1958. Among them:
1. FAS 201: Poss Buno 67087. Back in the US c. May, '74 & later restored my Chuck Wentworth of El Paso Robles, Calif c.1995.
2. FAS 202: Buno Ukn poss 67XXX. Shot Down Jul 17, 1969. Cpt S. Zece`na Amaya bailed out. Remains still in place... never recovered. We 'are working on it 'n 2015.
3. FAS 203: Buno 67070. Involved in a landing accident May 19, 1958. Pilot Capt Henriquez. A superb restoration in the U.S by Vintage Fighters & crew.c. 2003.
4. FAS 204: Buno 67071, Shot Down Jul 17,1969, La Union near San Jose de La Fuente. Cpt Cortez (RIP) Via FAS Forum/National FAS Museum.
5. FAS 205: Buno Ukn (for now) Crashed.(W/O) Pilot bailed out due to engine failure. c.Jul 24, 1961. Pilot. Lt. Benjamin Trabanino. A/c never recovered.
Quite by accident, we have recently discovered photos of all of them! Yess .... and all seem to be accounted for in this Aug 20, 2015. We did the research ... we 'll let the FAS folks & IPMS modelers decide.
Pic below the elusive FAS 201, Poss Buno 67087 while in long term storage after a landing accident at El Paso, TX c. May '57 during its ferry flight from Litchfield Park NAS, AZ. to Ilopango AB, El Salvador. Photo via Mr. Brian Baker. 2 B Cont....The pilot was a youn LT then named Gilberto Sanchez Ponce.

Hi! Yes there are a few pics of 'em.
There are a few here & there of FAS 204, Buno 67071 at La Union, San Jose de la Fuente..its final resting place. No pics of the wreck of FAS 202 have emerged yet. According to the FAS Museum folks no effort was ever made to recover it. Will post a few soon.
p.s (FYI) There is another wreck of a FAS 219, ..under 200 ft of water near La Union near an island called "Meanguerita". With the proper pocs & logistics this a/c can be found also. There is a poc in the E. coast named G.C that also has a few more details of these wrecks. PM me for more details if you are interested.(maybe we'll skip Havana for now). -)

Good day!
Coming from the across the pond is this interesting pic of FG-1.Poss Buno 67087. It was prob taken c. 1995 or so in S. Calif during the test runs of this fine flying machine. What is unique & I hope to see a higher resolution of it is the contrast of the diff colors at the bottom of the fuselage making it looked a dark gray type scheme. More to come as we get other angles & better resolution. Photo via F4U Forum.

Carlos Planas, not again please. FAS 201 si not yet identified (not 67087), 202 has not bien confirmed as 67071 either, 203 was probably 67070, 204 is not ID either, could be 67071 as well, and sorry to say but you are lacking basic info regarding 205... Please don't state information for which you do NOT have any proof, you are only confounding things.

Carlos, you haven't provided a single concrete piece of evidence since you started this discussion months, if not years ago, apart from "to be continued" and "coming soon". I think that you have nothing, "0", nil, nada, nichts, so why should I think that 201 made it south of the border?
You can state the reasons a a simple "a", "b" and "c" with some concrete pictures or documents and everybody will accept it.
(As a consideration for people who are constantly reading your 201 "confirmed" ID story")

Tranquilo!! We're now in this Aug 24, 2015 some 99.1 sure % that it did!...you'll be surprised what some deep research, a couple of Bunos & a little luck can do in aviation archaeology. Just to make sure, according to your notes:
1. Are are absolutely sure that according to your info/data & pics that FG-1D FAS 201 never made it South of The Border since May '57 ???..that it just simple went "puff" into the thin air??
p.s We 'll be more than glad to reply via docs & photo evidence about our findings of many years. We'll lay 'em on the table & let the F4U audience & Modelers (IPMS) decide. Sleep tight!!
