Hi everyone,

I would like to share with you a story that my great Uncle Jack wrote in 1944. It is a link to a blog post, as it is a fairly long story. Here it is:http://adm-arnold.blogspot.com.

He was first a Torpedo Squadron Commander of VT-2 on the second Hornet, then he was promoted to CAG of Air Group Two in June of 1944. If you'd like to read more about him, there is a link on the blog (above link.) to his wikipedia article.

I hope you all enjoy reading it as much as I do. I had to wipe my eyes after I typed up the story. It came from the book "Hornets and their Heroic Men." by Kenneth Glass and Harold Buell in case you were curious where it appeared.

Thank you all for reading,
