I have a hard time identifying the predecessors of the family of T-6.


The fuselage is close to that of BT-9, but the landing gear is retractable.

An idea of the type ?

NA-26, BT-9C BC-1 ???

My guess is that it is a BC-1 (NA-26 or NA-36), perhaps from the final batch of AC38-356 to AC38-447. The view of the bottom engine cowl is blocked, which might show what is called by some the "thin chin" air scoop of this model.

Hi guys. This is definitely an NA-36/BC-1. The one and only NA-26 had an odd shape to the rear sliding portion of the canopy. The trailing edge actually sloped forward, rather than being at 90 degrees. See here:

Would this be 38-399? I've seen several photos of a/c assigned to Wright that had the last three digits of the serial on the fin.
