Pax River visit upcoming- completed- added some photos

Mon Jul 18, 2016 1:29 pm

Going to be a Patuxent River this week, on base and to see the newish museum building for my first time. A great little museum with the X-32 (ugggglllly) , X-35 and the Vigilante (and the sole surviving A3J flat top Vigilante on base) being the highlights for me. Can take any requests if anyone desires me to note anything- I won't photo anything on base however, I don't care for the taste of concrete..... :D

The X-35 has been moved inside in the new building. She has been cleaned up and looks in excellent shape.

The S-3 Sea King has also been moved inside- still has the black paint over the windows.

The outside helos are really starting to show the exposure to the sun, with glazed windows and cracked seats, etc.

The Phantom outside looks like she has had a more recent repaint. She, the X-32 and the recently arrived Buckeye are the freshest looking outside.

A great little museum.
