Heard a rumor that Buffalo Airways was going to be bringing C-GTPO back into serviceable condition. Can anybody confirm? Anyone in Yellowknife, would like to see pictures of any progress as it was starting to look like it would never fly again.
Also saw the C46 that was written off last September C-GTXW has had ownership transferred to "Hay River Air Services" under Wilson McBryan, (Joes legal name) according to the CCAR. Maybe it was bought from the insurance company for parts to get GTPO running, but doesn't make sense that he would buy it personally and not the company, unless it needed to be a separate organization for legal purposes?? Surely it isn't being considered for rebuild? I wonder if it is still sitting in Deline, or if it has been trucked back to Hay River or Yellowknife? Would like to see better pictures of the damage if anybody gets a chance please, especially of the underside if it is up off the ground. Maybe there is a chance it could be picked up by a museum and preserved, doubtful and hopeful in the same breath.....
