Who could we complain to?

As they're all ready destroyed, what good would it do?

The USAF has, on many occasions, told us what it thinks of preservation of its own heritage, so my guess is that any complaints would fall on entirely deaf ears.

complaints go to the NMUSAF. I'm sure a lot of European museums would love to have them, but it's easier to destroy them :(

Does it strike anyone else as strange, how eager they are to chop up old planes, then on the other hand let private individuals fly their own old machines in heritage flights?
Seems just a bit hypocritical.

But wait! There's more!

Sometime in the last few weeks, MacDill AFB in Tampa decided their F-4E was suffering from corrosion and needed to go. Photos by "jjszalay" over on Hyperscale.

If it were up to the AF, they would not support any flyable ex-USAF aircraft in private ownership.

Because there all ready are, and they want to occasionally pay lip service to "heritage", they continue the Heritage Flight program.

Ask anyone from Collings how much the USAF Historian and Heritage Flight office like them flying the Phantom.
