This is the place where the majority of the warbird (aircraft that have survived military service) discussions will take place. Specialized forums may be added in the new future

A lot of stateside trainers in there; also note the B-25 tail with its turret Plexiglas painted silver - someone on the Wreckchasing forum was asking about that practice not long ago after finding some silver plexi remnants at a crash site.
Mark, if you can find some good shots of B-17s at Walnut Grove (especially NMF ones from Hobbs with an H and a big two-digit buzz number on the fin) I'd be grateful!

You mean Walnut Ridge? Here's a few. Sorry for the poor quality.

BTW the B-25's & B-29's were at Pyote (Thanks Scott for the PM)

John - Pyote was my first thought too. All the best.

Oops - I did mean Walnut Ridge! The photos you posted were the lists David Gansz has been putting together (with help from yours truly); we've accounted for quite a few planes from Hobbs but always looking for more. I'm going after Walnut Ridge because the Air Scouts plane in Paducah was purchased and flown in from there; it's been narrowed down to one of six possible serials.

Though there are indeed some stateside trainers mixed in with the B-25's, I'd say most appear to be unmodified from their wartime duties. In the mix can be seen underwing rocket racks, top turrets, and package gun blisters. Amongst the trainers (BD buzz codes) it appears they are all pre Hayes modification.
Another amazing photo essay, Mark - thank you!
