Air America Foundation (C-123 in Titusville, FL) Needs Help

Sun Jan 08, 2006 11:14 pm

Hey All,

I just got word from Paul Vasconi, President of the Air America Foundation who is restoring a Fairchild C-123 Provider in Titusville, FL. It seems that the space that they rent for the C-123 and the parts and equipment storage is being taken away from them and they need to relocate to another location at the airport.

As you might know, the C-123 is not airworthy at this time, so they are limited to TICO only right now. There is a possibility of relocating to the Valiant Air Command, but they have to raise funds to build a new ramp for the substantial airplane. Additionally they need to find a storage trailer for the parts.

On top of all this, they are looking for substantial support in the restoration of the C-123. When complete, the plane will be a flying museum honoring the pilots and crew of Air America...

Information on the organization can be found at: http://www.airamfoundation.org

An eBay donation link for the recent support effort can be found at: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=5654348963&rd=1&sspagename=STRK%3AMESE%3AIT&rd=1

And if you are interested in supporting Air America Foundation or have any questions, please email Paul Vasconi at: provider674@peoplepc.com

Thanks everybody!
