Things to see near portland, OR

Greetings fellow wixer's,
Anyone help me find the list of things near portland OREGON along with
rough /time/distance estimates to allow to get there and see things?
I think I'll have a customer trip out there in the next couple weeks.
I thought I had once seen something but can't seem to find it.
At this point all I know is it will be soggy.. hopefully drying out.

The Pearson Air Museum just across the river at Pearson Field next to Fort Vancouver is nice. At Hillsboro just west of PDX 5 miles is the Classics aircraft Museum with good jets. Steve Householder's hanger is close by with 3 AT-28Ds under restoration.

At McMinnville 20 miles south off of Hwy 99 is Evergreen Air Museum where the main attraction is our B-25J.
Tillammook Air Museum is about 70 miles away about 90 minute drive but well worth it with the coast an added plus especially since dungeness crab season just opened. BTW Hillsboro is on the way to Tillamook and Pearson is 15 minutes from PDX Int. AP.

The Tillamook Air Museum is not to be missed since it has an awesome array of warbirds including P-38, P-47, P-51, Spitfire, Wildcat, Corsair, B-25, A-26, PBY, SBD, TBM, Duck, Skyraider, and many others.

Website for the Evergreen Air Museum in McMinnville is http://www.sprucegoose.org. They also have a P-38, P-51, Corsair, Spitfire, A-26, B-17, Bf-109G, Hellcat, and other great aircraft. along with the Spruce Goose and the B-25J.

DO NOT MISS the Spruce Goose museum in McMinnville. The aircraft there are first rate, as are the staff... if you do go, look for an older fellow on a motorized cart. His name is Stanley P. Richardson, a former 55th FG Lightning pilot with one victory, and is a helluva nice guy to talk to.
Boy, by the time we were done talking, I was ready to jump in that Lightning and get'er airborne...

You are thinking of Jack Lenhardt at Hubbard who restored a couple of them and numerous vintage military copters for Fort Rucker and his personal collection. His copters are now at Evergreen and he's not restoring anything but concentrating on developing an airpark at his strip.

I had a great breakfast one morning last fall in the Bomber Restaurant (which is technically in Milwaukie, OR). Even with the sad state of "Lacey's Lady" hanging over the garden supplies outside, it was a great way to start a day of aviation sight-seeing.
A bit of a drive and the 2nd Stop was Evergreen. I second everyone's positive comments on their great collection (in a great building) and the great people there. Don't miss it or them.
A bit of a drive for a late lunch at Tillamook. Another great collection in an interesting building (love old wood blimp hangars) but the "staff" was non-existant as far as I could see.
Then a delightful winding drive back to Portland fo a dinner meeting with a client. You can cover a lot of ground in one day if you start early and hustle.
Still want to go back and spend a more leisurely visit at the two museums...maybe next May.

I got to see the "Lacey Lady" last October; it was an impromptu visit and I managed to show up on a Monday when everything was closed but the coffee stand in the parking lot. Has anyone seen the displays inside the various buildings there? Did I miss much? As for the Lady herself; well, a Fortress is always an impressive sight to me - even in that condition. And it was a biology lesson to boot - I never knew that swarms of hornets and flocks of pigeons could live together in harmony
