AIRCREW INFO NEEDED

Sat Jan 21, 2006 4:50 pm

Hi Im looking for some information on a specific aircrew that survived an ill fated flight on Sept 18 1944.A group of three Marine A25-As left Hill Field Army Airforce base in Ogden Utah enroute to El Toro .Two of the A25s crashed in Black Rock canyon, the third A25 made it out of the canyon and returned to Hill Field to report the loss of their fellow squadron mates.I have the crash reports on the two that crashed in the canyon but no info on the crew and aircraft of the flight that survived. Can anyone shead some light on the subject? The lead a/c crashed and burned the second a/c made it within 300 yards from the summit before impacting the terain, the third a/c cleared the 9000 ft. ridge and returned to Ogden. The remains of the#2 a/c is currently being restored for the National Museum of the United States Air Force in Dayton Ohio.Any wixers know how I can find this info? please let me know. Thanks Mike
