old aircraft tech book reprints

Tue Oct 11, 2016 5:07 pm

Just stumbled upon this last night:

http://sportsmansvintagepress.com/aviat ... -released/

There's actually 14 titles in all (so far) & two of them are around 500 pages. They're also available from Amazon. Each priced below $20.

One of the titles sounded familiar:

So I wander over to the bookshelf & discovered I have a 1942 First Edition. wooHOO!!
Inside, written in pencil is:
Thomas Ellsworth Clark
Douglas Aircraft Co
2000 Memorial Drive
Tulsa, Oklahoma.

I'm assuming it's this guy:

I now have six of the books sitting here & two orders for two books each should be here in a week or so. Riveting stuff, er, if you see what I mean.

If you have a kid or trainee who wants to get into saving this stuff I'd recommend giving them a copy of The Aircraft Apprentice to set them on the right track with the right attitude :)
