HI SOME MFGS STAMP THE LAST 3 DIGITS OF THE A/C SERIAL# ON THE PART#TAGS LOCATED ON MOST ALL AIRFRAME PARTS SUCH AS WINGS, TAIL,CONTROL SURFACES,ECT.SOME ARE ALSO STAMPED INTO THE FRONT SPAR CLOSE TO THE CENTERLINE. A BIT OF DETECTIVE WORK SHOULD REVEAL THE CORRECT NUMBERS.IF THE ORIGINAL INST PANEL IS THERE ITS THE RADIO CALL SIGN.BACK TRACK WERE THE A/C CAME FROM ,WAS IT IN A PARK,GATE GAURD,?A/C ARE OFTEN THE FOCUS OF PHOTO BUGS/AIRPLANE NUTS OR THE LOCAL NEWSPAPER.SOMETIMES THE HUNT IS HALF THE FUN!!GOOD LUCK.THANKS MIKE
