yes, i know...... an out of category post. but ensign george gay is 1 of the earliest u.s. heroes of ww2 re: the battle of midway, etc, hands down. i want this book to go to a good home plain & simple. the book is hard bound w/ dust jacket, good cond. copyright 1980. autographed to former owner robert c. ivey. quote... "to robert c. ivey best of the good luck i had at midway, keep america strong". george gay. this autographed book by gay is historically significant & i've never seen his signature offered anywhere in the 35 + years i've been into aviation history. ok, it's made out to someone else, but try to find a sig from such an early ww2 naval aviator / hero who's experience & eye witness account is pivotal to u.s. navy history, aviation, & world history. $75.00 +postage.
