Craziness at work delayed my spotting this until tonight. My apologies to those for whom this is ancient history:

I haven't made it out there since last year, I need to plan a visit.

I would be curious to know where this restoration is taking place. Is the aircraft to become a flyer?

Does anybody know if they have started working on the wings yet, and if so, how far along are they?

Anybody know a rough guestimate on completion time?

Yes, this aircraft will fly. The fuselage is being restored at Fagen Fighters in Granite Falls, MN. I was told the wings were being done in South Dakota. Last time I was there (about a year ago) I was told to expect about 3 years.

Tri-State Aviation in Wahpeton ND is doing the wings for us.

Deuelly, are the planned runway repairs at KGDB still on for 2017?

If so, is the flying Fagen fleet being relocated for the summer (and airshow season)?

TIA

Dan, some family members were out there back in December, and talking to Diane Fagen, the runway repairs are only supposed to take a few weeks to complete.

I appreciate the info, John.

Was really looking forward to another outstanding biennial warbird show in Granite Falls this summer though! :(
