Thanks for posting, Dan! Besides being a double extra superlatively awesome project, I love those reports as just plain fun reading.

We have scoured the earth and surrounding planets for a pair of these...

Unknown at this point. It has been sold, but the buyer has not been made public. I'm assuming the buyer will be revealed once the aircraft flies, or shortly thereafter.

Coming to Texas, maybe? Would be nice. I personally don't know, but would like to see it fly anywhere...

I remember reading or hearing some place that Tom had sold the aircraft, but that it hadn't been officially announced. I can't remember where that was - Warbird Radio, facebook, or a forum somewhere, etc. Since I can't defend my answer with a specific reference, I will go with what you said.

I do know that Tom is not the sole owner, as he stated in a Warbird Radio interview some years back that he had a whole team of investors to support the financing of the restoration. He said that when he eventually sold the aircraft, the profit from it would be divided up among the investors.

That's pretty much what he told me when I visited down there several years ago.
