This is the place where the majority of the warbird (aircraft that have survived military service) discussions will take place. Specialized forums may be added in the new future

Stellar!
What are the plans...static display or return to the air?
Beautiful cockpit, looks complete...?
Note the original concentric fuel quantity indicator, specific to early TBM's.

So sad to see one of the only air museums in the area close and the aircraft being transported out of there. (Still hoping for the CASC to pick up some airframes.) But I am glad she will return to the air.

It is very sad, but after seeing the damage to the building I understand the reasoning a bit better. Still wish the museum it could have been saved.

Would be nice to see Collings Foundation take over the hangar, restore it, and base their Navy aircraft there.

Excellent photos , thanks. Sad for the locals but it is almost always great news when an old aircraft finds new owners, and a new cash infusion. A very practical warbird for the CAF mission.
