Looks like it has a data plate on it which may shed some light.

Looks like the tire inflation instructions refer to a civilian ATA reference (ATA 12-servicing). So the part could be off a civilian type or it was a military type that saw civilian service.

As mentioned above, the dataplate would likely solve everything.

Let's assume the number 265 is a fleet number...last three of N number.
Anyone know of an airline with those colors?

Off the top if my head I don't.

So, the black color suggests a military scheme.

Why is it only for a "Jet". Could it be for a water bomber?

It appears the "wind" is peeling the numbers a little, leading me to believe this was mounted on the right side. It is also similar in function to a T-28 nose gear door, but I can't place it.

He gave me the part number off the data plate, it's 120-12328-002. It's a right nose gear door, I'm still digging to find aircraft type.

EDIT: He posted a picture of the data plate on the auction page now.

I downloaded and enlarged it, it says Embraer above the part number.

Must be a EMB-120.
