Who is planning on going to Reno next year?

Going to NEAM the day after Thanksgiving.

I've been meaning to goto Reno for two decades. I figure if I start planning now I might be able to pull it off. WIX Gathering???

I would love to. I've looked at accommodation and airfares, and amazingly (I was stunned) my wife's keen to go as she finds the racing aspect more exciting than a plain ol' airshow, however whether we'll be able to afford it is another thing entirely. I'm optimistic our situation can improve and I can be there in person to cheer the Kiwis!

Maybe I can smuggle myself there in the Full Noise container?

GOD willing, I’ll be there for my 35th consecutive air race. I camp at the field for 10 days. RARA (the Reno Air Race Association) has several campgrounds, I stay in the RARA West lot sites 1,2,3. Far NW corner of the field at the end of 8-26.

Scott, if you want to camp, I always have room. Bring a tent and sleeping bag and we have all the rest. We also throw a big party on air race Friday, your all welcome to come, I've been working on a source for air race history slide show, it should come together for 2018 .

Used to be if you wanted a hotel in Reno you had to call early in the morning of January 1st. Maybe they have more rooms available now?

I will be there Sunday Evening before to Tuesday Morning after. I recieved several e-mails from some of the racing classes I follow (ok...I follow them all) recommending making your hotel RSVP early(got mine) as there is another event in town the same week.
