I've been looking for information on BT-13's used by the Venezuela Air Force.
Not much I have found, just that they bought around 20 machines.

Paul:

In the past, I have sent you basically every photo that I have on the Latin American BT-13s. I am sure that you already have seen this one.

This photo is dated January 1984, and is from the LAAHS collection, courtesy of LAAHSer Mr. Mike Little, Omaha, NE

Preliminary information regarding other Lat-Am BT-13 users:

http://www.fav-club.com/

Shows a photo of BT-13 E26 and informs us that a total of 23 were used to train pilots at the Escuela Militar de Aviacion, between 1941 and 1949, when the surviving aircraft were transferred to the civilian aviation school "Mayor Miguel Rodriguez" where they ended their operational lives in 1958.

9 BT-13 were received in 1944 and 14 were listed in service by 1945 (probably including 5 received prior to 1944)

There was at least one documented accident of a BT-13, taking place on July 14, 1949 with two fatalities, on Lake Valencia, Carabobo State where Brigadiers Marcos Gracia and Domingo Zambrano perished when their BT-13 crashed into the water lakes for reasons unknown.

Other Latin-American countries that received the BT-13s:

Mexico 18 BT-13s and 19 BT-15s
Guatemala 5 BT-13s
El Salvador number unknown
Honduras 12 BT-13s
Dominican Rep. 5
Nicaragua 1
Paraguay Number unknown
Venezuela 23
Brazil 120 BT-15s
Bolivia an unknown number
Chile 40
Colombia 14

Saludos,

Tulio
