I sure miss Gary A

He did a great job keeping the discussions going, and he was a great go to guy for information.

I think of him all the time.
I've never had such a sense of loss, for someone whom, I had never met.

An amazing man.

When I am at work, talking to some pointy shoes office type about some minutia that I don't really care about, I say "I'm just a dumb airplane mechanic".
Makes me smile inside and think of Gary.

I met Gary in October 2006, and he told me about WIX - first I'd ever heard of it. I'll never forgive him for that.

Just kidding, of course. I hate that I only got to know him for such a short while, but at the same time eternally grateful I got to know him at all. Wonderful man!

That's one thing about aviation: you (never) get used to losing really exceptional people... :(

Not just Gary, who I think it's safe to say is probably still the most beloved person to ever appear in this forum; I miss Mudge too, and still can't believe Vlado's gone.

Even so, I consider myself incredibly fortunate to have crossed paths with them, even if I never met them in person. And I've made it a point to express my appreciation to those I have had the good fortune to meet who have taken the time to share their knowledge and experience... because I never got that chance with Gary or Vlado.

Most affirm, gents. I still crack up when I look through the Inspector's old threads as well.

We've known some quality folks, and we are better for their contributions to WIX, to the memories of those who came before, and to aviation in general.

Part of the fun of getting old......

But yes. I do miss all of their amazing experience and their ability to share with us all....

Thankfully the sharing spirit is still alive and well:
- Taigh and the Harpoon
- Special K and co
- Not sure, anybody is interested. You bet Scott we are
- And all the other contributors......you just cannot name them all...

Thank you...sincerely.

I miss Mudge as well. He also had a great and unique sense of humor.

I talked to him many times on the phone, just a great guy. Huge loss.
