Hi all-
Looking for some assistance in identifying this engine. Curious to learn if this is one of two engines of a potential aircraft, or if this was the primary engine of a single-seat aircraft. There is some other debris in the vicinity of the engine, but we are currently unsure if it's associated with the engine. The prop is a short distance away from the engine but only one blade is exposed. I tried to reveal the hub which was largely buried. Any thoughts to this engine and perhaps aircraft would be greatly appreciated!

The headers look like an R-2800 setup.

Closer and clear photos would be nice, the front shroud should be a key too. Lets see the nose and rear sections.

Thanks!
Hoping to get back out there to get a better look at the engine. Unsure if this was from a single-seat aircraft like a Corsair or wing-mounted engine from a PBY or something. Unfortunately a very common engine choice for USN aircraft...
