The RDAF had some very interesting schemes.

Below RDAF Lockheed T-33A 'DT-974'. Karup. January 1976 (looks good worn out a bit)

A few Danish Spitfires.

SPITFIRE H.F.Mk. IXe. 41-407 front of the hangar 3. Karup approximately 1953. Note that the blade tips are "trimmed", i.e., the wing-tip topic was removed (compare) with the picture below). The clipped wings provided better maneuverability (roll rate), but cost a little headroom. Photo. F.March Sorensen

Below (two photos) PL794 was one of the three Spitfires PR Mk. XI in service with the Royal Danish Air Force. All three were acquired as ex-RAF machines in August-September 1947. PL794 was actually the first Spitfire to arrive in Denmark on 29 August 1947, thus becoming also the first aircraft of the post-war RDAF. It subsequently served with 2. LF, 4. ESK and finally ESK 722. All Danish PR Mk. XIs were struck off charge in June 1955 and scrapped.

Some more. Really love the Catalina/Canso. One of the most beautiful airplanes ever build, in my humble opinion 8)
