There is a guy selling a pair of 75 gallon drop tanks not far from me, and he’s asking $500 for the pair. I have not seen them up close and they look pretty rusty in the pictures, but he claims they’re restorable. Are these things rare at all? I know condition dictates a lot, but are these around in fair numbers? Honestly have no idea and am wondering if they would be a good buy/ addition to an aviation collection. Thanks!
