Saw on Facebook last week, that David Gilmour's (he of Pink Floyd) SNJ-7C is up for sale. This has to be one of the rarest T-6 surviving variants, as only 6 were converted from earlier models. This is the sole airworthy example, with another converted from a SNJ-6 in outside storage in the States. Price is believed to be in the region of £156K.

I flew in it in the 1990s, and have to say that the cockpit was unlike any other T-6 that had flown in. Would have described as a little like a SAAF 'Ice Cream' update with enclosed side panels etc.

Has this one been flying at all in the latter years, or just been stored?

I believe stored but had its annuals every year.
