PT-19 Rudder - A Special Request for Help

Fri Jun 29, 2018 10:42 am

Approximately three years ago, I sold my NOS PT-19 rudder (instructional part) to a gentleman representing a museum in the Dallas, TX area.

Two or three attempts were made for them to pick up the rudder, then...nothing.

With my house flooding in 2016, a lot of information was lost. For the life of me, I cannot find anything related to the PT-19 rudder sale!!!!

So, this is my reaching out. You know who you are, you know how much you paid for the rudder and you know where I am.

PLEASE, let me know what your plans are for this PT-19 part that belongs to you.

Saludos,

Tulio

I have sold two VEHICLES for which the buyers each paid me and then never picked them up! Very strange. Maybe they told their wives and were informed that they better not bring them home?

Yeah, it happens.
I also know a guy who sold an antique car to someone (who'd come out to look it over) who said he'd come back to pick it up and never did. He called the phone number he had several times, and nobody ever returned his calls. That was about 5 years ago and he feels too guilty to re-sell it even after all these years (something that many think is nuts, but I can understand).

In the 90s, I got a ride in a warbird for over an hour and half in a formation, on an agreement I would provide a A-2 jacket to the pilot painted with the art of his choice on the back.
Got the ride, gave my info out-
-then, nothing.
:?
Maybe he lost it, but I didn't get his contact info in that pre-internet era because it didn't occur to me that he wouldn't call or write to collect.
