Steely-eyed defender of freedom ...

Mon Mar 13, 2006 7:46 pm

My friend Garry Fry (78th FG historian/author) has been supplying me with a ton of "Duxford Eagles" data and pix. This one, from the latest batch, really caught my eye.

Anybody know how to open an .info file? I'll be able to ID the gent when I can open the accompanying ID file Garry sent me.

Try Notepad. Maybe it is just some kind of text file.

Thanks anyway, John ... evidently captions for all the pictures I have are forthcoming via snail mail. Garry emailed me after I sent you the three files. Those who have any of Garry's books know that all but shoe sizes will be in those captions!

Supposedly, there wasn't anything on those files tagged onto each photo folder on my discs (was there?). Maybe a bunch of gibberish?

Thx anyway - much appreciated.

Well, gotta go and paint a runway ...

Wade,

Being in touch with Garry through snailmail in the past I wonder if he can be reached via email?

Take care,

Paul

Heh heh, naw ... I'm just painting a couple hundred feet of it. Didn't take me but an hour or so.

Back to it ... now I'm planting some flowers along the side ... gotta put some color in there.
