I was looking to restore this landing light but cannot find any stamps or marks on it - so don't know how to paint it once it is complete.
It looks like it was hacked from a burnt wreck.
The paint looks like US wartime Chromate Green.
It was sold as Hurricane but I cannot see that as being correct.
Does anyone recognize the style?
It is 12 inches tall, 13 inches wide and 6 inches deep.
Thanks
Brian

Fairly certain it is not a P51C landing light.
Wondering if it may be structure from fuselage spine etc.

My book shows it's a P-51C/D or K. Bob

Thanks Bob
I found this P51C restoration and the landing light is shown and it is not a match.
https://www.aircorpsaviation.com/201722 ... rd-update/The D and K had no landing light in the wing. The wing is also too thin.
I though the paint was North American dark green but I can't see where it is on the aircraft.

OK, I should have been more clear the part number 111- is for the P-51C/D and K ,having spent many hours looking up part numbers I've been surprised many times. Bob

Bob - I agree that the paint and part number say P51 C,D,K.
My question is that as it is not a landing light - where on the P61 CDK does it come from ?

AT-6, C-47?

Thank you all.
I attach images of the two part numbers I have found so far.

The 103 and 111 suggest P51C. I have spent several hours poring over P51 C and D drawings and there is no obvious match to wings, fuselage etc..
Furthermore the captive bolts appear to be 8 36 UNF so again definitely US ( or Canadian).
In combination with paint - US - but no match with warbird part number - civil ?
Thanks
Brian

Based on the size it would seem to be from a significantly large wing. Looking at a few photos, possibly a B-17?

Thanks - I agree.
Had a look and definitely not C47, B17 or B24.
