Cavanaugh Corsair BU#92399 Contract No 1871

Sun Apr 02, 2006 11:35 pm

I’m in the process of doing research on the Cavanaugh Corsair, and I have a question regarding the Aircraft History Card?

How accurate is the information?

My reason for asking is that I have just received a print taken from the microfilmed original via the NASM archives division, and the letter accompanying it states that FG1D (92399) was stricken November 16th, 1949. I don't believe this to be correct.

Rob Mears, could I ask a favor and get you to look at your records to see if it shows the same info?

I have been sent two pages, but the second page, which shows the date November 16th, 1949, does not show anything in the Serial No, Model or Contract details at the top, and I think I may have been sent details for a different aircraft.

Thanks,

Julian
